From, the chilling horror series with monsters and a town of folks trapped, begins its third season this fall. In celebration of “Halfway to Halloween,” MGM+ released a first look at the new season for fans to sink their teeth into. From‘s first season introduces the tiny town that, once you enter, you cannot leave. As people try to live a life resembling normalcy, factors impede their attempts. After all, there is an encroaching and formidable threat in the forest. One that comes out when the sun goes down.
Created by John Griffin, From stars Harold Perrineau (Lost, Oz) alongside an ensemble cast, including Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace, The Affair), Eion Bailey (Band of Brothers, Once Upon a Time), Hannah Cheramy (Under Wraps, Van Helsing), Simon Webster (Strays), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe Van Landschoot (Charity, Skin), Corteon Moore (Utopia Falls), Pegah Ghafoori (The Perfect Wedding), David Alpay (Castle Rock), Elizabeth Saunders (Clarice), Elizabeth Moy and Avery Konrad (Honor Society).
While the From teaser is brief, it leaves a chilling impact. As the trailer begins, it opens with Boyd Steven (Harold Perrineau) wearing torn and bloodied clothing and pulling a cart. Within the cart lies a seemingly lifeless body. Then, an antagonist speaks about how someone (likely Boyd) claims this situation will not break him and counters with an ominous “let’s see.” It’s unclear what transpires, but Boyd, bound and helpless, tries to comfort someone screaming off-camera. For fans of the series, the From teaser will create rampant speculation, and for newcomers, perhaps, an opportunity to binge the first two seasons before the next one premieres.
