Their obstinate temperaments keep I Want to Be a Receptionist in This Magical World 4 hilarious amidst the conflicts.
I Want to Be a Receptionist in This Magical World 4 brings the rumors about ice witches to the forefront. So, romance and mystery jockey for attention. Still, there’s not a dull moment but plenty of questions. Happily, Nunnally and Rockmann continue to butt heads. Their obstinate temperaments keep I Want to Be a Receptionist in This Magical World 4 hilarious amidst the conflicts.
The volume, created by Yone, with an original story by Mako and character design by Maro, begins with Nunnally and Zozo arriving at Soreyu. Translated by Jan Cash and lettered by Rachel J. Pierce, the Yen Press manga steadily builds up the danger for ice witches and Nunnally. Still, it also finds ample opportunity to throw Nunnally and Rockmann together, although their rivals-to-lovers path build is still firmly in rival. There are battles where Nunnally gets to flex her skills, competitive antics, and romantic possibilities in this volume.
I Want to Be a Receptionist in This Magical World 4 Shows How Lost the Two Are in Each Other
Rockmann, given his reactions from previous volumes, seems to understand his feelings more than Nunnally. However, that doesn’t mean that Rockmann backs down from petty competition. He is not happy unless he’s annoying Nunnally. But to see them both at work, yet childishly trying to stomp on the other’s foot, allows I Want to Be a Receptionist in This Magical World 4 to emphasize how wrapped up they become when next to each other. Their relationship is still antagonistic. But it is not aggressively mean, but moreso angsty with pranks and petty squabbles. The series navigates that fine line between, never crossing into unforgivable territory.
Still Too Little About Other Characters
The focus is on Nunnally and her relationship with Rockmann. However, given the manga title, more must be done to build up the other characters around Nunnally. Aside from when they chat with Nunnally, no one else exists. It sometimes makes I Want to Be a Receptionist in This Magical World 4 feel hollow. After all, everything hinges on Nunnally as a character and there is still so little readers even know about her. Most of the classmates from school exist on the story’s periphery with no development. Plus, there is nothing regarding Nunnally’s life at home. The story is not a chore, but it feels shallow.
Ice Witch Battle
One aspect of I Want to Be a Receptionist in This Magical World 4 is that they do not weaken Nunnally, which is a relief. It is annoying that Rockmann seems to outshine her, and it’s a tiresome trope that the man must be stronger than the girl in these romances. However, Nunnally is no damsel in distress cowering in the corner when danger arises. She can and will throw down, as evidenced at the ball when there’s an attack.
I Want to Be a Receptionist in This Magical World 4 is a page-turner, but it needs more character development. Nunnally and Rockmann are hilarious; however, the world of characters outside them remains ignored. It’s a great blend of comedy, drama, and hints of sweet romance. But it needs more than surface enjoyment because it’s not distinct from other series. Still, I Want to Be a Receptionist in This Magical World 4 delivers excellent fun.
