Anime fans of My Hero Academia do not have much longer to wait. The seventh season is coming to Crunchyroll soon. In addition, starting this month, a four-part episode will recap the entire series to date thus far! So, the recaps and the seventh season will be simulcast from Japan on Crunchyroll. Except for Asia, it will be available worldwide on Crunchyroll.
My Hero Academia, based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump (Shueisha’s weekly manga anthology), the anime follows Izuku Midoriya (Daiki Yamashita). In this world, eighty percent of the population possesses supernatural powers known as “Quirks.” Of course, some of them use their power for evil. So, heroes use their powers to stop the villains and protect the people, and there’s an academy to train them to be heroes. Izuku enrolls and, alongside his classmates, learns what it takes to become a hero.
The series’ popularity ensured season after season of the beloved show. Now, My Hero Academia has a new season around the corner. Bones—the same animation studio that created many iconic anime such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Carole & Tuesday, and Mob Psycho 100, to name a few—once again produces the series.
The four-part recap for all previous seasons will air weekly, beginning on April 6th at 2:30 am PT.
