My Poison Princess Is Still Cute 2 is sweet and funny as readers chuckle at the fledgling relationship between an immoral knight and a toxic princess.
My Poison Princess Is Still Cute 2 is sugary sweet, bordering on saccharine, with a toxic bride and her immortal husband. It’s light fun as the newlyweds, the Poison Princess Raffy and Immortal Knight Loren, get to know each other. In addition, Raffy’s feline maids and ghost butler round out the crew with a new arrival from the past. While well-meaning assists to bring the pair together ensue, My Poison Princess Is Still Cute 2 creates a comedic, awkward, and romantic tale.
Created by Chihiro Sakutake, the second volume, translated by Andria McKnight and lettered by Carolina Hdz, covers ten chapters. The Yen Press manga begins with the blissful Knight Loren gawking at Princess Raffy from afar. Unfortunately, their relationship is not that of traditional married couples. After all, Loren’s immortality means he resurrects. But it does not protect him against dying over and over again.
My Poison Princess Is Still Cute 2 Puts The Perfect and Imperfect Together
As such, much of their interactions have a hilarious countdown. Because when Princess Raffy is not in control of her emotions, the poison comes out. Feline-looking maids Mogu and Pomme try helping. However, when two people in a relationship struggle to communicate, you get weather chats. It’s an odd mix, and Loren is an excellent match for Raffy, considering he’ll always return after dying from her poison. But since both seriously lack social skills, particularly romantic social skills, there are a lot of laughs. It’s easy to recall a moment when you misspoke and cursed yourself. That’s part of My Poison Princess Is Still Cute 2‘s charm; it touches on human emotions like timidity, embarrassment, and clumsiness.
Teacher With Marriage Counseling On the Side
When Loren’s master, Adelie, arrives, things kick up a notch. First, she laid a bunch of traps to test him. Adelie is a blend of common master characters. Adelie bears many similarities to Izumi Curtis from the Fullmetal Alchemist series. She’s overpowering with a hefty love for her husband. However, someone “in your face” might be just what these lovebirds need to push them out of their shells. While Raffy’s poison does not come out when she’s happy, nervousness is something else entirely.
So, to help, Adelie turns her attention to Loren. He does need a lot of coaching. Here is a man who misinterpreted when Raffy tried to ask about petting dragons and threw himself on the ground for Raffy to pet him. It’s evident in My Poison Princess Is Still Cute 2 that they have a long way to go before they’re comfortable with each other. There’s tons of humor and plenty more as they struggle to come together verbally and physically.
My Poison Princess Is Still Cute 2 is sweet and funny as readers chuckle at the fledgling relationship between an immoral knight and a toxic princess. It’s cute with few stakes, making the series an easygoing read. I’m unsure if I’d continue reading because, although adorable, it does not stand out enough from other series. Still, if light romantic fun with a twist is what you’re looking for, My Poison Princess Is Still Cute 2 is one worth reading.
