Business Proposal 3 gets steamy enough to warrant a double take for those who want a bit more in their adult romantic comedies.
Business Proposal 3 picks up steam—pun intended—as the two potential couples at its heart get sensual while still trying to figure out what each other wants. Besides the romantic aspect, there is still tons of laughter because of the writing and illustrations. Hari Shin is one of the funniest characters as her inner thoughts and imagination play across the pages. Business Proposal 3 builds excitement in more ways than one, as laughter, tears, and rivalries keep the story and pages churning.
With art by Narak, adaptation by Perilla, an original story by Haehwa, translation by Tapas Entertainment, Inc., and lettering by Abigail Blackman, the volume begins with Taemu driving a tense Hari home. The full-color illustrations in this Yen Press comic are chockful of entertainment. It covers Chapters 28 – 40. It’s well worth the price of admission to go on this joyride. Business Proposal 3 makes it clear that too much drinking can get a person into all kinds of trouble.
Business Proposal 3 Gives Hari a Complex of Hilarity
Given Taemu’s cold disposition and penchant for firing anyone who lies to him, it’s no wonder that Hari struggles to discern his feelings. Plus, Taemu might not fully know his feelings for Hari. That leads to raucous misunderstandings. In addition, his determination to stay near and date her leads to many comical moments. Be it Hari sobbing and fleeing in her mind or her picturing Taemu with ears and a tail with a collared chain around his neck as the “obedient pet,” it’s neverending laughs anytime they are together.
Business Proposal 3 showcases how easily miscommunication occurs when people misconstrue each other. It can lead to laughter, like Key & Peele‘s “Text Message Confusion” skit. But it can also lead to heartbreakingly sad moments. Both Hari and Yeongsuh experience that in this volume. Yeongsuh knows how she feels, but Hari is just figuring herself out. So, there’s room for laughter and heart pangs in this volume.
Choose Your Couple
There’s much to love between Sunghoon and Yeongsuh’s relationship and Hari and Taemu’s. Right now, the former’s relationship feels like out of a fairytale, whereas the latter feels like a series of misfortune that’s a blessing in disguise. Business Proposal 3 gets steamy enough to warrant a double take for those who want a bit more in their adult romantic comedies. But even amidst the sexiness, comedy ensues as Hari and Taemu discuss taking responsibility for kisses.
Still a Bit Shallow
Aside from their affection for each other, readers learn little else about the characters. That is not to say the story is not entertaining. It’s one of the most hilarious series out there. So, despite the characters’ shallowness, it’s easy to fall in love with them and the tale woven. However, hopefully, the series will flesh out the characters in the coming volumes.
Business Proposal 3 nails the comedic aspect of low-grade misfortune. Sometimes, humor is the only avenue to handle certain situations. But Hari’s imagination takes it to a whole ‘nother level. The full-color illustrations add another layer of laughs as her mind seesaws between tears, screaming, and misinterpreting Taemu. Thanks to the neverending laughs, Business Proposal 3 hands down delivers a knockout comedic volume.
