Here’s a breakdown of some of this year’s Dorian Film Awards winners.

Coming out strong is sci-fi, which looks at beauty standards and the industry itself, The Substance. With compelling performances—in particular, Demi Moore’s—it’s no wonder the movie won five awards, including a “Film Performance of the Year” for Moore. The Substance also won “Film of the Year,” “Director of the Year” for Coralie Fargeat, “Genre Film of the Year,” and “Campiest Flick” for GALECA’s 2024 Dorian Film Awards. With Substance, Mubi supported a unique and daring film.
