See You In My 19th Life 3 Hilariously Reverses Love Pursuit

With Jieum carrying the series for now, See You in My 19th Life 3 keeps churning out, creating a collision between the potential pairs.

See You in My 19th Life 3 shows two possible pairings struggling to unite. But it makes for some laughs and drama as they disagree, hide their feelings, or dive headlong into them. This volume also has Seoha tricked into believing he met Jieum elsewhere for the first time. It’s still not clear why she does not come clean. So, it feels manufactured in that sense for drama. However, See You in My 19th Life 3 has the women pursuing the men with hilarious results.

Created by Lee Hye, translated by Webtoon, and lettered by Toppy, the volume starts with Jieum recalling her impoverished childhood in her current life. This clues readers of the Yen Press comic into the fact that she not only knows Seoha from her 18th life but also met him as a kid in this one. Hilariously, it looks as though both relationships mirror each other. The women are in pursuit. And the men feign indifference as each gets under their skin. It adds a comedic layer. But the series still drags a bit because similar stories do this better with far more memorable characters.

See You In My 19th Life 3 Does Not Overstep

The best part of the series is the premise of someone remembering multiple lives, searching for the one they cared about in a previous one. It’s giving Chances Are but with less of an age gap, as Seoha was still a kid when Jieum passed. Plus, despite both of them meeting now as adults, Jieum is older. Additionally, it’s one of the better stories of an older woman in a younger body because this is not an adult in a kid’s body when they meet. So, there are no questionable kid/adult relationships.

Need More Aside From Their Partner Pursuits

The series has cute moments, but the characters—aside from Jieum—do not stand out much yet. In fact, too many of the characters feel like cutouts that could easily resemble other characters in a series. That’s why there needs to be more about their experiences, likes, and dislikes to flesh them out. Still, there are hilarious moments as the girls pursue and the guys resist in See You in My 19th Life 3. Chowon and Doyun are not that interesting yet, but there’s potential as the series continues. Meanwhile, Jieum and her hilarious antics, constantly throwing Seoha off-kilter, ensure a good time.

See You in My 19th Life 3 still has a fascinating premise of searching for the love of your life from a previous life. The focused and romantic pursuits of Jieum keep it fun. It’s hilarious that Seoha caps how many times Jieum can ask him out. However, she slowly gets under his skin despite her determination.

The only continued issue with See You in My 19th Life 3 is why Jieum would not reveal who she is to Seoha. Given what she remembers, Jieum can easily prove who she is. But also, if a person’s character is their experiences, Jieum is not who she was in her 18th life. With Jieum carrying the series for now, See You in My 19th Life 3 keeps churning out, creating a collision between the potential pairs. However, the other characters need more personality, particularly the other couple. Fans of any comics, manga, or anime could name five other characters who mirror them.
