The Remarried Empress 6 makes screaming “get wrecked” almost irresistible. Witnessing Sovieshu show more people his vindictive, power-tripping character will help more people to side with and protect Navier should the need arise.

The Remarried Empress 6 is the long-awaited realization of the title. As Empress Navier suffers her husband, Sovieshu’s adultery and mistreatment, the stage opens up for a new love interest. Sovieshu is a hated character who compels readers to keep going while praying for their downfall. Thanks to the start of Sovieshu’s comeuppance, The Remarried Empress 6 is a page-turner that keeps readers cackling in delight.

The volume, with art by Sumpul, adapted by HereLee, and an original story by Alphatart, begins with Rashta meeting her hired parents. The Yen Press comic, translated by Webtoon and lettered by Shirley Chen, covers Episodes 72 – 85, and it is a whirlwind. From divorce to a daring escape, so much happens, yet a few things remain unchanged. Rashta is manipulative, and Sovieshu keeps sinking lower.

The Remarried Empress 6 Shows How Hypocritical Some Men Are

While Sovieshu is an emperor in a fictitious tale, many men showcase the same double standard. Sovieshu has a mistress, Rashta, gets her pregnant, and then decides to divorce Empress Navier. Unsurprisingly, there is so much drama in these types of stories. Having the mistress and wife living together is a recipe for chaos. Still, what makes Sovieshu even worse is his plan to divorce Navier temporarily. Naturally, he expects her to wait.

Yet despite its toxic aspects, The Remarried Empress 6 gives us a glimmer of hope for Navier. Meanwhile, Sovieshu exposes himself further as a bully. But when Sovieshu summons the High Priest who married them to get permission for a divorce, he feels great. After all, he plans to marry Navier again once Rashta gives birth. But when Navier agrees to the divorce and immediately asks the High Priest’s blessing to remarry, Sovieshu is livid, to readers’ delight. Still, he refuses to accept Navier’s marriage. So, it’s concerning for both Navier and Rashta. That bird incident in a previous volume demonstrates an abusive nature.

There Is Still Time For Laughter and Smiles

King Heinrey is young and utterly infatuated with Navier. Heinrey brings out her warmth, allowing her to express herself and not feel so restrained. Or, instead, Heinrey in bird form brings it out of her even more. Each time, the bird, Queenie, freaks out when she hugs or kisses it, and Heinrey squawks, eliciting smiles from Navier and laughter from readers.

Heinrey promised to come clean after they married. However, although they are adorable, the question is whether he keeps his word. Plus, he says he is a jealous man. Hopefully, The Remarried Empress 6 and later volumes have him change because going from one possessive man to another is not a win, no matter what title comes with it.

The Remarried Empress 6 makes screaming “get wrecked” almost irresistible. Witnessing Sovieshu show more people his vindictive, power-tripping character will help more people to side with and protect Navier should the need arise. Even though Heinrey smuggled Navier to his kingdom—because Sovieshu had them on house arrest, Sovieshu has not given up. The Remarried Empress 6 is a joyous page-turner thanks to Sovieshu’s just desserts, yet it builds dread for what else he will put Navier through.
