Wicked for Good Final Trailer Teases a Lot

Wicked for Good trailer of Glinda in pink in a bubble with a hand outstretched toward Elphaba with green around her, dressed in black holding a broom with her hand outstretched toward Glinda.

Universal released the Wicked for Good final trailer, and it looks amazing, giving audiences more of what they love: Elphaba and Galinda—henceforth known as Glinda. Plus, the story interacts with the timeline from the classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. So, there’s plenty to see in the trailer and even more to wonder about. It looks like a whirlwind of emotions swaddled in green and pink.

Directed by Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich AsiansIn the Heights), the film has Cynthia Erivo (Bad Times at the El RoyaleWidows) and Ariana Grande (WickedDon’t Look Up) reprise their roles as Elphaba and Glinda, respectively. Now, they are on opposing sides as the true villains, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, played by Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic World: DominionIndependence Day), and Madame Morrible, played by Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at OnceA Haunting in Venice), set everyone against Elphaba, now dubbed The Wicked Witch of the West.

Another returnee is Peter Dinklage (RoofmanBrothers) as the professor at Shiz University, Dr. Dillamond, the goat that the villains snatched out of class in the first movie. Next, Jonathan Bailey (Jurassic World: RebirthUp the Catalogue), as the nonchalant, but secretly caring, Fiyero. The Wicked for Good final trailer teases a lot, including glimpses of Dorothy, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion. So, it will be interesting to see how it all comes together.

The Wicked for Good final trailer teases more action as well, from fights to chases. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are the core of the Wicked for Good final trailer, given their outstanding performances in the first film, which gets better on rewatch. There are songs. Affection. A dance with them and evil Oz? Audiences are in store for a lot.

What did you think of the Wicked for Good final trailer?
