Tribeca Festival announces its full feature lineup for 2024. Also, this year marks the 23rd year of the Tribeca Festival and offers a diverse collection of documentaries, narrative, horror, and animated films for festival-goers. So, there is something for every genre-obsessed fan. In addition, this year packs a lot of star power. Some festival circuit faves return in feature films world premieres this year. This includes Jenna Ortega, Kristen Stewart, Liza Minelli, Rob Lowe, and Demi Moore.
One of the most exciting is Lily Gladstone. Not only did she receive an Oscar nomination for Best Lead Actress for Killers of the Flower Moon, but her outstanding indie picture, Fancy Dance, hits theaters on June 21 before landing on AppleTV+ for streaming on June 28. Now she returns in the world premiere of Jazzy, directed by Morrisa Maltz (The Unknown Country). It stars Jasmine Shangreaux as Jazzy, a young girl navigating that tenuous and fraught line between child and young adulthood while living on the Oglala Lakota reservation in South Dakota.
For fans or children of the 80s, the Spotlight+ documentary BRATS catches up with the Brat Pack that made up many of John Hughes’s pictures highlighting white suburban teen angst. So, expect to see Molly Ringwald, Rob Lowe, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, and more. Plus Andrew McCarthy is the director visiting his fellow brat-packers to discuss the label and its impact on their lives over the decades.
