Yen Press at Anime NYC 2026 announced several new acquisitions to their hefty collection of manga, comics, and graphic novels. Alongside a couple of light novel additions, Yen Press also added several new manga to their roster. Here’s some of what readers get to look forward to.
The Witch’s Conviction, The Beast’s Redemption, by Yuki Sakai and illustrated by Ao Nekonabe, has a downright disturbing premise. It’s like an even darker version of Fullmetal Alchemist. Here, Leonardo Nix, instead of fulfilling his dream of becoming an alchemist, rots in prison because he committed a taboo. Nope, it’s not what you think. He admitted to eating people. Then somehow, he becomes a monster who craves human flesh and escapes only to encounter a witch who offers to help him, but with a catch. This light novel sounds deliciously morbid.
‘Cause I’m Freedom! by Taro Hitsuji and illustrated by Akitake Azumi centers on Faye Leonheart, a teenage sword-fighting prodigy who will lead the strongest warrior clan. That is, until she returns after three years of training with a magical machine gun, earning her banishment from the clan tout deb suite. Unfazed, she focuses on studying ancient technology called overgear, set on exploring and living a life of freedom. A light novel that may balance comedy and action.
Yen Press at Anime NYC 2026 Has Some Saucy Manga
Make It an Eternity by Sato Kanae is giving reverse harem hilarity. Towako is a recluse, living a peaceful life with her older brother until a bunch of gorgeous hosts arrive, all claiming they’re her brother’s friends. Talk about unraveling at the seams. There are some spicy possibilities for laughter and tons of mayhem with this series, as all sorts of wild scenarios seem possible and even likely. Yen Press at Anime NYC 2026 made sure to include a range of stories for readers, not focusing on just one but understanding the broad range of readers who immerse themselves in stories.
Can I Call You Unnie? by Alt Hanakage sounds like a romantic yuri tale. Natsuki’s upset when the lead singer of her favorite K-pop girl group retires and also disappears from social media. Inevitably deciding to move on from her pining, she gets on dating apps, only to have the first woman she matches with resemble her favorite idol. Of the ones that caught my attention, this one has me most excited. Still, there’s a lot to choose from with Yen Press’s collection.
